Community Transport

People to Places provide range of transport services for people of any age who require assistance with transport because of limited mobility caused by disability or infirmity.

People to Places started in 1989 with 2 minibuses, and has since grown to a fleet of 16 minibuses.  All the minibuses are specially adapted to cater for most types of physical disability and are accessible to people in wheelchairs.

The experienced staff and volunteers at People to Places are DBS checked and MiDAS trained, able to assist you to and from your front door.

People to Places operate a Dial-a-Ride service for residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.   Dial-a-ride is a membership based service open to residents of the Royal Borough who are unable to use conventional public transport.

The Dial-a-Ride service has been supplemented by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead’s Travel Assisted Payments Scheme (TAPS) which provides support transport for qualifying users.

People to Places provide home to school services for some of the pupils within the Borough for whom accessing school would otherwise be difficult

People to Places offer MiDAS and PAT training courses for drivers and/or Passenger Transport Assistants from local schools, charities or other organisations.
